REFLECTIONS

          Actually, this is my first time writing a blog and I find it really interesting. I have never started writing a blog because I do not have the basic and knowledge on how to write even to make a blog. By learning how to create a blog, I have gained new knowledge that I have never imagined before. I am sincerely thankful to my lecturer, Dr. Sharifah Sariah Binti Syed Hassan for guiding me in creating this blog. Through this blog, I can categorize the knowledge into three aspects.

BEHAVIOURISM

• Behaviourism is a theory that focuses on objectively observable behaviors and any independent activities in the mind. Behaviors theorist define learning as a process that is nothing more than an acquisition of new behavior based on environmental conditions.   

• During my class with Dr. Sariah, I will listen carefully to what she going to lecture and totally focused on the class. I also jotted down some new information which is based on the instructions on how to create the blog that I get during the class so that I do not forget the steps that I have learned in it. I also will make sure that I will be punctual so that I will not miss any lesson in her class. 

COGNITIVISM

• Cognitivism is the study in psychology that focuses on mental processes, including on how people perceive, think, remember, learn, solve problems, and direct their attention to one stimulus rather than other. Cognitivism focuses on the mind, and more specifically, mental processes such as thinking, knowing, memory, and problem-solving, with the goal of opening the “black box” of the human mind, the process of which is deemed valuable and necessary for learning to occur during the class.

• During Dr. Sariah's class, whenever I do not understand or catch up with the lecture, I will ask Dr. Sariah and my friends. When creating the blog, I also need to design my blog with beautiful background and make sure the colour combination of my background and my colour theme blended well. I also ask for Dr. Sariah's and my friends' opinion on the colour combination based on the colour palette. She also guided me on how to embed the video from youtube and put it on my blog. I also learn how to use snipping tools, create my own gif and insert it into my blog. I also practice this skill when I in my mahallah.

CONSTRUCTIVISM

• Constructivism is basically a theory based on observation and scientific study on how people learn. Human always constructs their own study ways through experimenting and experience things and reflecting on those things.

• When I try to design my blog in the mahallah, I will discover new things by randomly clicking the button during customizing it. I also learn how to decide the size of my pictures, gifs, and video by correcting the heigth and width in the HTML. I also decide my own design on how to deliver my contents in an interesting and arranged way.  

We can connect this knowledge from a verse in the Al-Quran which means : 

AL-MUJADILAH: 11 ( "Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees")

So, in order to become a knowledgeable person who is the higher level than someone ignorant, we should push ourselves to become braver in seeking knowledge and out of our comfort zone. We can make use this knowledge to spread more new knowledge and Islam.
